My parents displayed photos of Derreck and me — as well as my art — in our family home at 919 McKenzie Street, York, PA. My monogamous parents were politically liberal, but they also had iron-clad family values, which they instilled in me.
For many years now, ultra-wealthy institutions, individuals, and corrupt government bad actors have been exploiting their wealth, media power and other corrupt means to perpetrate federal crimes, corruption, and defamation against me — that also horrifically victimized my deceased father, and my mother who has stage 4 cancer. My common-law husband from 1999 to 2011, Derreck Alexander, was also irreparably harmed.
It is necessary for me to ensure that both the public and American Justice System are aware of the facts — even if the U. S. Department of Justice under multiple administrations has been aware of these crimes against me (and my family) and are institutionally complicit in these crimes, at the very least, by obstructing justice.
I am a Sane American Citizen raised by excellent, respected attorneys.
My grandfather, Herbert Cohen, my father, Harry Jay Rubin, and my uncle, Donn Cohen, were highly significant and respected figures in American legal and political history, and my Uncle Donn also did significant work to advance justice and democracy internationally. All three and my family overall, for generations, including myself, have been respected in the news media and in person, and by allies, friends and by political opponents, for our courage and integrity.
Also, my grandparents and parents were not wealthy people who materially spoiled me. None of them directed my work in childhood or adulthood. They required self-discipline and independence. None of them used anyone in their network to further my career, and I never asked, with this one exception, in the early 1990s — and only because it was necessary — after editors from Artforum Magazine, Madonna, and Time Warner Books perpetrated unfair competition crimes against me, including trade secret theft, when they ripped off elements of my original art work, text, and a book I had curated — that I had titled "SEX" — an exhibition in book form that was not porn — it was statement against censorship that included emerging and well-known artists and writers.
After being ripped off, as I was not wealthy and needed legal aid, my uncle, Donn Cohen, a graduate of Harvard Law School, referred me to his friend Ron Konecky's IP law firm. At the meeting — with the junior attorney they had assigned to the meet with me — I had my physical mock-up for "SEX" in my hand; it was not just an "idea" that I was "talking" about. I had created a real, physical book mock-up during 1990 that I had shown to the publisher of Artforum and had with me when I met with the junior attorney at Konecky's firm. However, he listened for a few minutes and then unethically told me that I had no case.
That was false. He was wrong. I had a serious case with hard evidence. I persisted. I called up
Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman on my own. Attorney Peter Herbert, a former prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office and IP Law expert, met with me (pro bono) along with his litigation assistant, and they told me that I did have a case, but it would take years and millions to fight Time Warner in federal court with only a 50-50 chance of winning. So they advised me to move on. That's when I cut off ties to the mainstream art and pop culture worlds and began showing my art and performing independently.
I am not anti-fame or anti-wealth.
Considering the documented astounding profits my talents and integrity brought to every employer and client, I should have had millions in my bank account decades ago. Systemic misogyny caused employers and clients — while they consistently profited from my work — to vastly underpay me.
I moved to New York City to become a well-known American Artist and financially successful. Starting in my early 20s, I was receiving significant attention and early fame. Then I became a serial victim of crime, corruption and defamation that began in the late 1980s and early 90s. During 1998-99, when I was an Art Director at Practising Law Institute, the same attorney at Ron Konecky's firm who had unethically, wrongly dismissed my case showed up to give a continuing legal education talk about how to defend mass-market celebrities and in his bio he mentioned that he represented Time Warner assets.
So, the one time I received an assist from a family member, my Uncle Donn, my Jewish family and I were treated unethically, to say the least, by a Jewish attorney at Konecky's firm who represented Time Warner assets — at least he did in 1998-99 — and he probably did when I met with him in the early 90s, so he should never have met with me about it at all.
The more recent RICO-level criminal conspiracy, involving the Steinbrenners, Jeters, Derek Jeter's aggressive mean-girl sidekicks, and those "protecting" them, is connected to Artforum, Madonna and Time Warner Books conspiring and cheating against me and is an extension and escalation of that corruption.

Obviously, no institutional or individual bad actor may use crime and defamation to impoverish a stable, talented, law-abiding American Woman, and then falsely call the victim a "gold digger" when she sues.
Also, no amount of compensation will reverse the wrongful death of my father, my mother's cancer, or the years of crime, life endangerment, medical malpractice, psychological terror and defamation, (ongoing), and poverty that prevented me from having a baby when I was still fertile, with healthy eggs. I am an unusually slow ager, and I was unusually fertile, as my blood tests and two OBGYNs can confirm in court.
The public 'gloating' by the mob of un-American, deranged perpetrators regarding the biological loss and the rest of the unconscionable harm they caused, constitutes aggravating circumstances, demonstrating their sadism and total lack of remorse, significantly increasing the perpetrators' moral and legal culpability. Their boasting and gloating — like homicidal, 8th-grade bullies — only confirms that the harm was not accidental but was intentionally, sadistically inflicted. I started going to pro tournaments, NBA and MLB games, simply to depict male athletes with professional-level skill, because it was "nicer" to have "nicer" forms to draw and paint.
However, it does not matter if the athlete I am drawing and painting is a pro or amateur.
